Why Choose Mold Pro For Your Toxic Mold Inspections?

Brad C. Slack, NYS Licensed Mold Assessor/ Board Certified Indoor Envrionmentalist  (CCIE, CMI, CMR, CMA),, understands the necessity of knowledgeable and unbiased  mold inspections. When the health of your family or business is a concern, you need the best advice and information possible - without a sales pitch or gimmick.  Brad's experience, education and Certifications give him the ability to evaluate mold & moisture within a building and design a specific plan for remediation.

Inspection Requires a Scientific Approach

A thorough and complete visual inspection of the property is an essential first step towards detecting mold. Brad relies on his 20+ years of field experiance, training in mold testing and building science as well as years of construction experience to detect moisture intrusion and hidden mold. Instruments such as a FLIR thermal imaging camrea, moisture meters (protimeters) and advanced fiber optic scopes (borescopes) allow him to detect problems that might not be visible to an untrained eye.

Air Monitoring is another key component of a thorough mold investigation. Air samples are collected via Alergenco-D cassette. This type of sampler imparts spores in an Alergenco-D cassette at a rate of 15 cubic liters for five minutes. After the sampling period, the impacted cassettes are sent to an AIHA certified laboratory for visual identification under the microscope.

Topical Samples, are taken through the use of swabs. At the laboratory, the swab samples are transferred to potato dextrose agar petri dishes, incubated, and identifies as described above. Lift Tape Tests are taken and put on a microscopic slide, this test is used typically used for the detection of Stachybotrys (Black mold).

The Solution Begins with Communication

The result of a Mold Pro inpection is a carefully prepared report documenting the sources and presence of  mold and prescribing a detailed plan for remediation.

This plan is then used by a qualified third party to remediate the mold; inspections and testing are our only business, eliminating any possible conflict of interest.
